Hamm, 93, of Lincoln, widow of Duane H. Hamm, passed away November 15, 2018. Betty was born in Lincoln on July 3, 1925, to Walter and Etta (Bashford) Rankin. Betty enjoyed playing golf and bowling and was elected to the Lincoln Bowling Hall of Fame in 1996. Betty also enjoyed watching football, volleyball and baseball.
Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia L. Hamm and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Duane; her parents; two brothers and two sisters.
Services at 3 p.m. Monday, November 19, at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home in Lincoln. Interment will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park. Visitation from 2 p.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to People City Mission or the American Heart Association.
Donald V. Zeiss Sr. - Lincoln Journal Star

Zeiss, Sr., 96, passed away on Friday, November 23, 2018, in Lincoln. Don was born March 7, 1922, to Charles V. and Pearl M. (Sutton) Zeiss in Ulysses. Don grew up in Ulysses, Aurora, Trumbull, and Lincoln, and Kansas City, Mo. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1939. He married Genevieve Knippel on July 12, 1941. The couple had two children, Donald Jr. and Deborah. After Genevieve's passing, Don met Anna Taylor, the two married in December of 1967...Services: 3 p.m. Friday, November 30, at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home (6800 S. 14th Street) in Lincoln. Inurnment with military honors will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park. In honor of Don's love of reading, memorials are suggested to the Lincoln Public Library.
Ruth G. Scanlon - Lincoln Journal Star

Scanlon, 86, of Lincoln, passed away November 25, 2018. Ruth was born July 15, 1932, to Steve and Mina Grindle in Gouldsboro, Maine and was raised by her grandmother Ida Hinkley. Ruth loved her family, bowling, square dancing and traveling; she was a very active woman.
Survivors include her daughter, Judy Scanlon; grandchildren, Jessica, Alisa and Corey; great-granddaughter, Rayne. She was preceded in death by her sons, Bruce, Jeff and Bob Scanlon. She will be truly missed.
Memorial service: 3 p.m. Friday, December 7. at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park. Memorials may be directed to the family.
